Science fantasy about a number of characters, including the heroes Tawa, Edgar and young Milos, the eccentric Prof. MacKenzie, the villainous Sgt. Crumb and Corporal Buchet, encountering the advanced underground civilization of the Riis (the "Outcasts") in the Old West.
